Some housekeeping

Lately I have had to delete a couple of anonymous comments because they either (i) had nothing to do with the posting's topic, (ii) did not constructively add to the discussion, or (iii) advertised websites known to contain plagiarised (ie stolen) content.

There is no excuse for (ii) & (iii) and only a little for (i). I may never get around to your pet transport topic, but if you do wish to share it with a wider audience, then I recommend the following online forums.

* Bus Australia General public transport discussion

* Railpage Australia forums Train related

* Vicsig rail forums Train-related

* aus.rail A spam-filled Usenet 'newsgroup' that dates from when most internet users just had email and had no web access

In addition, there are also private email lists for members of various transport clubs and associations. Details of these are normally provided on that body's website.

Subject to normal etiquette and the posting rules for each forum, there is no restriction on what may be discussed. Even transport websites (the topic of one attempted poster) are fair game, and discussion of these is encouraged!
